Evening all,

My youngest removed his front wheel before we loaded the bike into the boot yesterday. Unfortunately he didn't pick-up the nut and washer and it's 1hr 30 min round trip away.

Where can I buy one of these and what size do I need? I know it needs a 15mm spanner, but no idea what pitch the thread could be. M9 or M10 nut size?Hope these pictures help.

Could it be an imperial thread? How old is it?

Bet it will be a 14mm, especially if the hub is 110mm wide like a bmx hub.

Ahh front hub my bad, will be 10mm.

Nut arrived, unfortunately it doesn't fit. Not even a case of the wrong pitch, can't even get half a revolution, seems too small in diameter.

Any other suggestions?

Probably M10 by those measurements. But why not just take the wheel to.your local cycle shop or fastener supplier. Either should be able to find a match.

M10 metric fine, 1mm pitch.

Halfords have them, as will any proper bike shop.

Track nuts for front wheels are 9mm, yours is not a track bike.
