I received my Nukeproof Reactor (carbon, which may be relevant) today, and there are a couple of concerning things about it, which I just want to check.

I noticed, in some of the pivots, and the flip chips, the paint is missing / chipped off. Is this ‘normal’? I’ve attached a couple of photos. It’s also like this by the seatpost clamp.

Doesn’t look right to me, but I may be wrong? Looks pretty rough!

Also, anyone know if this cap just ‘pops’ back on to the wheel? The bike got bashed around in transit (the box was open, it was so bashed around), and it has ‘fallen’ off.

The paint around the pivot looks normal to me, I'm assuming it'll have been faced so as not to create an area where paint thickness can affect the contact points. The flip chip paint looks a bit poor and not really what you'd expect on a new bike and that does just looks like a wheel end cap to me, should just pop back on.

If i were you I'd ping someone an e-mail showing them the paint around the flip chip, they may just offer you an apology and a bit of money back if you keep it...

Never heard of these before so looked them up - lovely looking things. But that’s dodgy finish on something costing so much.

Not sure if the paint finish is purposeful or not but on balance I think I'd be unhappy with it. The cap looks like an axle cover from the front wheel but might be some sort of transit protetion thing. It's hard to tell but if it is from the wheel, it should be obvious to tell once the wheel is on. Nice bike by the way.
