With Moore Large going under, all their stock is getting auctioned off over the next few weeks (starting Friday).
Plus a shed load of kit too...
Bargains galore - the heady days of pandemic madness are definitely over, and the pendulum has swung firmly the other way (as many predicted).
Wonder who else is getting seriously worried?

A bit sad really, we sold hundreds of Emmelle Cougars in our old shop, Moore Large were our biggest supplier.
Sad indeed, outside of ghouls distastefully rubbing their hands at the prospect of a bargain or two, overlooking damaged comminities & careers. Out of interest, are you seeing people step in to pick up distribution of brands previously handled by ML, assuming you're still in the business?President Merkin said:

My first mountain bike back in about 1991… took way more abuse than a £100 bike ever should….Just had a scroll through their listings. Lots of 14-speed, 21-speed, and 18-speed bikes among that lot, with RRPs around the £200 to £400 mark. So not much to interest "enthusiastic cyclists" looking for a mid range or high end bargain really. Lots of ETC branded accessories too. Bike luggage, mudguards, lights, etc. Sadly, they're selling that stuff in batches/boxes, so not really for me.
It's quite sad to see the business go under. I was talking to the owner of my old LBS just on Monday and he mentioned it to a former employee who came in for a chat. I don't think he intends to bid on any bikes though. He was also talking about the downturn in bike sales, and the ex employee (retired) now buys and sells retro/classic road bikes and he said he wasn't buying at the moment, only selling, and that was also a slow market.
