Price for Carrera bike s/h?
Discussion
Hi all
I got a bike via a cycle to work scheme from Halfords probably ten or more years ago. I think the bikes been used about 10 times and not for years now.
Its been hung on a bike rack in a garage since then. The wheels are off the floor.
Cant remember the specific name of it but it was about £200 new I think and was their Carrera own brand. Its a hybrid I believe they were called then(may still be)
Assuming I can clean it up, get some lube on the chain, pump the tyres up and they stay up and that the bike functions correctly, what might I get for it on gumtree? £40?
Thanks all.

At that price point advertise locally.
If it is in generally good serviceable condition, I would try £95. I have often advertised good condition bikes too cheaply to get rid of them. I think people are suspicious of a cheap price. Putting the price up often finds it selling. Done this quite a bit with kids bikes over the last 10 years as they keep bloody growing......

Sounds a plan. I'll need to get it down and clean it up see if any rust on the rims etc. If it is in generally good serviceable condition, I would try £95.
