Gisburn Forest

I stand by my comment in your previous thread but at the same time I'd say just go if it's only an hours drive.
Different strokes for different folks and all that and you'll never know unless you go. I love places other people slate and slate places other people love and so I tend not to put much weight on other peoples opinions of places these days...

If this is him getting into it, my kids (13 & 14) much preferred Leeds Urban Bike Park when starting out. Lots of different things to try and the ability to session certain sections. You can sit and have a coffee while he does loops on the pump track if you need a break.
Gisburn is lots of pedalling for little reward, but it depends what he wants out of it. Mine love berms and jumps, they’re not there for a long uphill ride, hence our preferred spots are Llandegla and BPW.
