I am looking for some mudguards for a Specialized diverge sport with 700x38 tyres. What guards would people recommend.

Thanks

MudHugger's Gravelhuggers. Look daft but very effective.

Just fitted a set of Bontrager NCS guard to my wife's hybrid. You can get them in sizes up to 45mm tyres. They are well made and easy to fit - no need to cut stays as they are adjustable.

I guess these will need cutting to size?

Check out the Topeak defender Tx guards. Full range, easy to fit and come with all fittings. They go upto a 45c tyre.

Excuse my ignorance but what is this for as I have not seen these. Mine is a 2019 which isn’t mentioned in the list.

How to they attach to the frame, they look very complicated to fit.

I use this on the back. Plenty of adjustment. Cheap too. Paired up with mini front guard it works well.

They sure are nice and cheap, the front one is this good for protecting the headset from spray etc?

+1 for the Speed Rockers. They're slightly faffy to fit, but it's basically just velcro straps. I liked that they were easily removable, but in fairness they're so unobtrusive that they've stayed on since I got them last Christmas.

They're on my Cannondale Topstone. I'm predominantly a road rider, but will tackle gravel and mud as needed. Haven't come across any clearance issues, but with them being adjustable, it's quite easy to move them up and down the frame tubes a little if required. I'll sort out some pictures in a minute

Awesome thanks, do they come with tape frame protectors in the kit? Do they keep the headset bearing area clear also with the gap?

They do have frame tape, but the headset is not covered. I've toyed with the idea of filling in the gap, but it's not presented any issues yet and I've not got round to it.

Just been through my pictures, and it seems it was 2021 they were fitted, so they've been on for 2 years now.

This was at installation:

And this is just now:

They look good, my wife has a Cannondale TS 105 also. Thanks for the pics.

Your sit differently to the pics on websites, I need to look at my bike as there is not much room.

It's my first "proper" bike, but I love it. Coming up on 10,000 miles in 2 and a bit years.

Regards fit - I'm nothing if not ham-fisted, lazy and clueless, so it's highly likely they're not fitted exactly as SKS intended. Certainly the fender stays could be trimmed down a little, but it was good enough out of the box, so that's how it remained!

Oh ok that sounds good, do the guard wires need trimming or is it good fitting straight away.
