Litelok fixable?

I bought a LiteLok gold wearable bike lock about 2 years ago and it is now unreliable. Last month it locked and I could not get it unlocked in 2 days of attempts.
I can't trust it anymore to take it out and lock my bike with it but as it was over £100 new I am reluctant to just give it up and throw it out. Litelok will fix it if I send it in but at £50 plus P&P this does not really make economical sense.
I tried cleaning the mechanism and drying it out fully and applying graphite but it still sticks.
Do I just chuck it or is there another option?
