Morning All,

I know this topic is done to death and i'm familiar with the typical responses of Frog, Islabike & Early Rider..

But just to run through it all again is there anyone else missing?

I've found that Vitus do kids bikes now - the adults stuff all gets very good reviews.

The 20" offering seems to be on offer now at £200 which vastly undercuts the regular competitors for what looks like a very very similar bike - similar weight, gears, material etc.

Anything else that i'm missing, other brands to consider?

Go Outdoors sell the Wild bikes range, currently £200 with the benefit you can go and see it / try it for size. We have the 24inch for our daughter and i'm more than happy with it. Yes Islabikes are better, but they're twice the price.

Go for the Vitus, impossible to beat at that price and should retain some value once outgrown.

We went with a Giant ARX20 but that was nearly 3 years ago and got a great deal on an ex display model, started off on a Frog 43 but the grip shift of the next size up Frog put me off.

I’ve just had delivered today a Vitus Nucleus 26” mtb for my 8yr old, first Vitus but again the spec was impossible to beat.

Hadn't considered go out doors and have one local so can take a look. Thanks for that.

My two had a Vitus Fourteen when they were a little younger & my daughter has a Vitus Energie 24 CX bike waiting for her birthday in a couple of weeks.

The Vitus 20 doesn't look too bad for the money & not too heavy at 8.5kg.

Depending on what type of riding you plan on doing, I really like the look of the Vitus 20+. Obviously a bit more expensive & heavier at 10kg, but looks like a cool bike biggrin

Just a bit of a curveball but Halfords have recently released some nice Boardman junior bikes and they do seem to be fairly nice for the ££.
