Real shame. Great looking bikes. I hope they find a buyer and manage to carry on.

Just seen this on their Insta.

It is a shame, very almost got one but settled on another Cotic instead as I just thought they looked better. Suppose it's people like me who have contributed towards their downfall.

Hopefully they can pick up some financial backing and keep going.

Gutted about this, Dan has been quite open with his posts on Insta and the FB owners group.

They really are great bikes. Hope all the team involved get a good outcome.

Their bikes are great, the UK design and fabrication (and reviews) was one of the reasons I got one.

On the flip side you’re keeping Cotic going? Sadly there just isn’t the market for that many boutique manufacturers. It could be Stanton, Pipedream, Cotic or Starling facing administration

True, a couple of others disappeared recently too. I know Swarf threw in the towel and BTR have gone quiet following a since deleted post about giving it in.

I have my suspicions that some companies may have ridden the Covid wave and overstretched themselves based on the boom it caused. I'm still waiting on an order of some cranks and a stem from another UK based manufacturer that I placed in September and the excuses I'm getting from the owner as well as murmers elsewhere suggest all is not well....

Real shame this. A lot of people have taken up MTB in the last few years so you’d think they’d be OK. But I suppose a relative newcomer to MTB isn’t the customer of these smaller boutique firms. A lot of the people with real spending power for bikes are buying eMTBs - at least from my unscientific observations at the numbers of eMTBs I see vs a normal bike on any given day. Some days it seems like almost no one is riding a bike without motor assist.
eMTB's are where the future money is, Privateer are developing one and I know both Cotic and Starling are too, says a lot when the smaller brands are having to get in on the act.

From my observations e-bikes have opened up mountain biking to people who thought they were past it and personally I think that's a really good thing. See lots of older boys out and about on trails these days on e-bikes who i suspect otherwise wouldn't be out at all. They're also a market with probably the best spending power...

Stanton's accounts haven't looked good for a while but ultimately they haven't paid a supplier so maybe we should feel sorry for the supplier who is currently out of pocket and will be lucky to see a few pence in the pound that they are owed.

I'm not knocking Stanton as I have admired the bikes they have produced but owning my own business when you don't get paid it is not fun at all.

Sad to see any business fail.
The biggest creditor’s in their last set of accounts were the 2 directors who were owed £847,000 between them.
That’s a hell of a loss to take.

Dan has been quite active on the FB owners group, looks like they will continue. What's been agreed etc I'm not sure, Dan seems to be incharge though.

Hope it works out well for all the team and suppliers. They make very good bikes!

Couldn't he have just bought the stock from the administrators?
