Garmin screen ‘fuzzy’ / poor quality?

Is it just me / my eyes? My Garmin 1030 Plus just arrived, and the screen seems mega low quality. It almost looks ‘fuzzy’, like the whites in particular have a very ‘CRT TV’ look about them.

Could it be a faulty unit? I don’t recall this being such an issue on my mate’s 530.

Yes. It's a known fault. Garmin have a replacement scheme - they turned mine around very fast indeed.
