My commuting shoes were getting tatty, so decided to freshen them up.
There's not a huge amount of life left in them so didn't want to do too much.
I went with the thought of what might happen in the very unlikely event of Banksy doing a collabaration with Rapha.... and I just liked his rat pictures...

Very good!

What materials did you use?

A company called Angelus, do a de-glazer along with some fine sanding to prepare surface, then their acrylic leather paint and a re-finisher, in this case a matt finish.

Pro's use vinyl stencils and airbrushes, I'm just brush and tape. Started doing it for my kids and as an easy hobby which doesn't take too much space or time.

Very nice job. I think your definition of tatty is vastly different to mine though wink

Yes, as has been said , your tatty and tatty are a wee bit apart !,
Nice job though , but I’m suspecting it may have been as cheap to buy new shoes thumbup

If I was charging myself an hourly rate it would have been cheaper to get new, but I had the stuff and enjoy doing it. Only noticed from doing these pics the blue has run slightly on one shoe with the mat sealer. Experimenting since the blue does run a bit when being sealed, live and learn, odd how one colour reacts differently. Easy to solve in future though.
