Any suggestions?

I have pretty wide feet - not a problem in normal shoes but always an issue with cycling shoes. On the road, I wear Lake wide fitting. I need to get some MTB shoes but really can’t afford the equivalent Lake. Size 45 for length.

I’d prefer to spend =<£100. Unfortunately I’m also under some time pressure so can’t do high street shopping nor Decathlon. Does anyone have experience of the current Planet X line? There also seem to be Giro Privateer or DHB Dorica?

Thanks in advance for any experience.

Clipped or no clips?

I ride with New Balance, waterproof and super comfy, decent sole etc -

Similar to these https://www.widefitshoes.co.uk/products/men-s-wide...

Not cheap, but comfy and wide.

I have the same issue. I purchased loads of shoes online recently but they all got returned as they were no where near wide enough. I ended up with DHB Doricas and they fit me perfectly. I've been really impressed with them although they do feel a bit cheap but that's because they are.

Etnies Camber CL...? Out of the three pairs of SPD's I've got they're by far the comfiest!

...although looking at the other suggestions they might be too Endro/DH/Freeridey for what you want.
