MTB Buying and selling - where?
Discussion
Where do you guys recommend to sell a mountain bike, cant face the 12.8% on sale price e-bay now want.
For reference its slightly niche being all carbon, none suspension and 11 speed Alfine hub gear, value £850 or there about.
Any recommendations and experiences welcome.
Mods, not looking to sell here, just want recommendations on where is the best place to sell.
Cheers

Facebook. With 2 growing kids into cycling I’ve bought and sold loads without issue.
Sold a hardtail yesterday after a couple of days on there, and sold a full suspension last weekend within 30 mins of advertising. You reach a much bigger audience on Facebook and anybody looking on Pinkbike will also be looking on Facebook, but the reverse is far less likely.
Plus there are lots of buy and sell groups on Facebook - make sure you list on there. It means you can sell to none active purchasers. I’m on several groups and therefore my Facebook feed is full of bikes for sale - if your bike is very specialist, you could end up selling to someone who wasn’t actually looking but sees your advert. One of my sons owns a very nice Haro BMX, for exactly this reason.
Now that my son has liquidated his assets he’s off to buy another full suspension off Facebook today. Hopefully this will be his last, as at 14 he’s buying a men’s large.
edited to add - list it on both and report back as to where you got the most interest, but make sure you list in the specialist groups on Facebook. Would be interesting to see which does better.
