So a gentleman in Florida is interested in purchasing my Ellsworth Epiphany. Quotes for shipping seem to vary wildly - the most reasonable I can see is from a company called mybaggage.com at around £115.
Has anyone shipped a complete bike to the US? Any recommendations on carriers please?
Thanking you smile

I'd be asking him to arrange shipping if he wants it to be shipped abroad. I'd be happy to pack it up for him but I'd leave the organisation and insurance side of it up to him to be honest.

It's a fair point, but the US-based carriers don't seem to be all that helpful. Given I need to get hold of a boke box and package the damn thing, I'd rather be in control of who is collecting and when that happens.

That takes me back! I owned a few Ellsworths.

A ID actually did try killing me in 2003.

Forget the US gent being nostalgic.....

Is it actually genuine or some random person looking to have you over?

I looked at doing this.

There are some at under £200, but if you dig deeper, they are as shady as anything.

I spoke to a MBE owner I know, he said if it's less than £500, its dodgy, will take forever and there will be no car taken. His advise was just don't. It is cheaper to fly it there yourself.
