I'm looking for a new set of MTB pedals to replace my ancient original DMR V8 pedals. I've looked at the following and I'm just wondering if anyone has any recommendations? (I've got big feet if that makes a difference):

Deity deftrap
One-up composite
DMR V11
DMR V12

The Deity's seem to get very good reviews and I'm swaying towards them at the moment!

I'm a fan of Kona wah wah 2's, have them on both bikes now.

Haven't tried the Deity or DMRs on your list, the Oneups are good (and often best value for money) but I prefer the Konas.

I’ve used DMR V8s in the past. Moved to Nukeproof Neutrons and super happy with them.

BMX throw-back and a bit left field but I still run magnesium Odyssey Trail Mix pedals, I think mine are over 15 years old but they have now gone back into production, so are available new again.

I forgot about the Kona Wah wah's, they have positive reviews but they look quite big.

DMR Vault.
I will never use another pedal. Perfect for big feet, super grippy - my converse/vans that I ride in are basically slick soled and the vaults do not let go - and the service kits are cheap.
Incredible pedals.

I’ve had vaults for ages before moving over to burgtec which has the same grip but built to last from rock strikes. A few friends have the nukeproof pedals mentioned above that are Larson very good and grippy and cheaper

They are a big platform (which I like), but nice and thin in profile.

I've also had Nukeproof Neutrons which were decent (and excellent value) but but a smaller platform and not as grippy, and Shimano GR500 which were in between the Nukeproof and Kona for grip but very heavy in comparison to the composite pedals.

Fair to say that a lot is down to personal preference though rather than being objectively better.

I used to run One-Up composites and loved them (size 11) as they have a big platform and plenty of nice small pines to dig into your soles.

Also used to run Burgtec composites which are almost as good although slightly smaller.

Oh, I run clipped now which is why I no longer run them...

I have a set of brand new DMR Vault Mags if you're interested? I was going to list them on eBay this weekend! To confirm, they're the magnesium body, cro-mo axle variant: https://www.dmrbikes.com/Catalogue/Pedals/Vault-2/...

PM me if interested. smile

HT PA03A's. They're fairly large, fairly thin, very grippy with a decent concave shape. They're also light and cheap.

Ditto.

I used to have V8's years ago and these are a perfect upgrade.

Thanks for the offer but I've ordered a pair of silver DMR V12's, managed to get them online for £38 which seemed like a good price.

Had a look at the Deity deftraps and they looked a bit cheap, although I'm sure they're good pedals.
