Morning, need to make a little room and store my bike in the garage. What have people used and recommend for either wall or from the roof beams.

Single garage that also has a car in it, wierd I know using a garage to put a car in.

Thanks

Length of 3x2 and some big old hooks from Screwfix.

As ever, thumbsnap is being a twit with orientation:

Would love to have that room, I have updated OP to that I have a single garage with a car in it.

On the pricier side compared to the hooks above... but Velohinge have been great for me. Hook the bike as normal and then fold it into the wall to save space.

Thank you for options, I think I have settled on a couple of the ones in the link below.

These are going onto brick. What fixings size would people recommend to hold a 10kg bike. The item does not come
With plugs or screws. I have brown wall plugs approx 40mm long just unsure what screws to use.

Thanks

2 bolts, and it's very unobtrusive

I always use Fischer Duopower wall plugs, and the appropriately sized spax wood screw. Other wood screws are fine, but spax have become my personal preference.

Make sure you drill the whole a little longer (5mm ish) than the plug and screw or else there is a danger they will bottom out.

Thanks mate appreciate that, got some wood screws that are the same size as the plug, 40mm should be ok for the brackets.

As I have never hung a bike on a wall before, would 5x50mm screws into a 40mm brown wall plug be ok got a 10kg bike?
