Reasonably priced motion rear light

Nights are getting darker and my son cycles to school and back and never bothers to switch his lights on and even when he does he won't remember to switch them off so the battery drains.

So I am looking for a rear light that is triggered by motion but not at a price that makes it attractive to a thief.

Anyone got any suggestions?
