I’m looking at buying a second hand ebike. It’s a Giant fast road, 2020 with a Yamaha motor. It’s only done 600 miles since new, it’s up for £1,200.

Is there anything I need to pay particular attention to if I have a look at it? It’s only local so nothing lost if it’s a stinker.

Can the in frame battery packs be rebuilt for instance if they turned out to be faulty etc?

Battery, they can fail if left uncharged, or allowed to discharge too much. the rest is just normal bike stuff.

New these appear to over £3k, even my Boardman ebIke is worth more than £1.5k used. £1200 for a barely used eBike from a well known brand looks like a deal that's too good to be ture.

Perhaps I should have said the original receipt and proof of ownership!
