Shipping a bike - London to Bristol?
Discussion
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has experience of shipping a bike form London To Bristol?
Are there any specialist couriers that I could use?
I have bought a bike on a well known internet based auction site and factoring in my time, fuel and the congestion charge (?) I was thinking it may be easier to use a specialist courier?
I tried a bit of Googling but couldn't find much as I think the size of the "parcel" is too big for the mainstream companies.
Thanks in advance

Is the seller willing to wrap the bike and wait around for a courier?
Not being awkward but I have been an eBay seller and put collection only, the buyer decides to send a courier. The courier only gives a collection day and when they turn up they expect it to be wrapped correctly. This causes difficulties for both the buyer and the seller.

National Express coach Bristol to London is less than £5 each way.
Not sure if you can you safely take a bike on a coach (I wouldn’t want it in with all the suitcases )
If not then ride it back!
Brilliant idea! Why didn't I think of that...........? Not sure if you can you safely take a bike on a coach (I wouldn’t want it in with all the suitcases )
If not then ride it back!
FWIW, Shipley just came back with a price....... £376! the bike is only £500

Does the OP know someone who would like a day out in London and is prepared to collect the bike? Even better if they have a discount railcard!!
