Basso bikes

Does anyone have any experience of Basso bikes, specifically the Astra?

Popped in to my LBS this morning and the have this model for sale at £2950 which seems like good value (at the current prices brands are charging).

It looks good in the flesh but it could ride like a piece of soggy spaghetti and I can't really see any user reviews online (although magazine reviews seem positive).

Friend has one and really likes it. Had it 2 or 3 years and ridden through winter without issue.

The stem has a unique system, only Basso bits fit it I believe - so i would say make sure it fits you properly as ordering replacements might be tricky and take some time.
