Local fb marketplace ad for an electric bike, messaged them and they have sent back info. However I am a believer in the if it sounds too good to be true it probably is, has anybody else dealt with these people at all?

You see a lot of these dodgy ads on facebook.

Jordanmall probably is in Jordan and won't be sending you a bike.

Some of these sellers have all sorts of stuff listed for sums like £78, £80 etc, all in different parts of the UK.

I blame Nick Clegg.

There are almost as many too good to be true, obviously fake ads as there are genuine ones on FB... I'm not sure what the scam is unless they're assuming people will pay upfront for something they've not seen in person.

PayPal accepted so assume it’s covered by their guarantee, but it’s not worth the risk. Shame as it could be a bargain but as I said at the top, if it’s too good to be true etc

Sure they say PayPal accepted… but they won’t let you use it for whatever reason, locked out of account etc etc, so it will be some dodgy money transfer. The product doesn’t exist, you’ll lose the money, but it’s “only” £100 and you CBA to chase. They take thousands every day with all these low value scams.

It's always £75 quid for some reason.

Maybe they think £75 isn’t too much for people to lose and they are likely to go for it ?

I’m not bothering to enquire any further
