Hello,

Im rebuilding my Kona Roast and just putting the final finishing touches to it and long story short, the newer hydraulic cables dont exactly sit in the older mech. cable holder;

Possibly not clear but the old holder dwarfs it.

Has anyone got any experience of these those feel the bit that goes in the insert will be too small

Or would i be better tracking this down;

Or just these and layer them up until its all snug?

Thanks

Aesthetically the latter option looks to be best. I cannot comment on how any of the options would work better than the others.

God i remember using those silver ones back in the day when first putting hydraulic brakes on, never quite worked 100% ok in the stand but soon as you were out on the trail they'd come out.

If it's a 'holder' then the bottom option is neat IMHO, just fatten up the hose with heat shrink or whatever?

I have the top option, it works because the lug on the frame is not just a 'holder' it is a 'stop' for the outer of a Bowden cable and the hose won't go through it.
