Yes I know 0 about bikes but just got a new frog bike for daughter. Comes with these reflectors how do they go on do u just put any spike behind the silver thing? Doesn’t seem secure. Sorry for stupid question am pissed off having already spent ages attaching mudguards!

Should attach to two spokes. Find the point at which the spokes fit the grooves on the reflector and slide it towards the hub to secure it

Do you have to split them in two, or just slacken the bolt so they will twist on?

40 years of cycling and I never got to grips with that particular design of reflector. I nipped out to my garage to see if I could fathom how to fit some I had knocking about but I can't find them. I think I may have given up hope of ever understanding how they go on and binned them! Clip-on and "twist lock" types? No problem. But I couldn't work this type out when I got some with a bike, nor at any time since. Good luck with them!

The first thing I did when I got my lads Frog bikes was remove the reflectors and mud guards...
