Anyone using the live tracking feature of komoot premium?

I'm trying to ascertain what link it provides. Can anyone track you via the link or just other komoot users with the app? Where does the link take you, generic maps website or komoot Web page? Can anyone share their link so I can see?

I've asked support twice in the past 7 days without a response and I need to decide before 23rd April when the offer expires.

Do you use komoot and a garmin head unit? I can't help with the Komoot link, but the Garmin livetrack works fine. I used it for a 10 day trip last year and just the other day for a 3 day trip and the folk I included on the distribution list said it worked well.

No straight from my phone, hence needing komoot to track me. I can use Google maps but its another app to load etc and there's no associated data.

Depends how comfortable you are with sharing your location. I use Life360 which tracks my location all the time so my wife can see where I am. It's not something that has ever bothered me as she generally knows where I'm off to anyone and I don't really have anything to hide. I appreciate for some that they would hate the idea of it being constantly on. It is free, however!

I appreciate this hasn't actually answered your question but does provide a different solution, depending on how happy you are to share location permanently.

Thanks. i normally use google maps "share my location" feature for regular rides and the wife's sanity. But im cycling JOGLE and have a small following that i want to be able to share my location, stats etc with. I know i can copy the google maps link and post it online but it's a very basic "here i am" and i wanted more - which komoot seems to show.

However they haven't replied to my questions, the answers are not on their site and it seems no one uses this feature (at least on PH).

just to bookend my Q. finally got a reply from Komoot after 11 days. All you need is a browser and it shows some useful stuff (although the planned distance was wrong but the remaing is correct) to anyone you share the link with:
