So I’m going to be spending most of this summer in Ibiza with a view to coming here full time next year.

It’s quite hard to find info about mountain biking out here, I’ve found one company that does tours but I can’t really tell if they’re gonna be proper trails or catering for tourists.
Does anyone have any experience of mountain biking on the island? The scenery looks as if it should house some cracking rides.

Obviously if I come here full time then all of my bikes will be coming with me but for this year I only really want to bring one bike out and an wondering if I should bring my Santa Cruz or my gravel bike?
I know the road riding on mallorca is a big thing and I imagine it’s the same here so the gravel bike could be a good shout but I don’t wanna miss out if there is decent trails around!
I will be back and forth so could potentially bring each bike out for 50% of the time but would rather avoid the hassle.

So - a summer in Ibiza, which bike would you be taking?!

Looking at Trailforks there appears to be cock all trails on Ibiza, Mallorca by comparison seems to have loads.

Speak to the folks at Kandani Bike shop in Santa Eularia, they have good knowledge of the island for both Road & MTB

I've had quite a few holidays in Ibiza and I did find online a place that seemed to have some jumps. Can't remember where it was now and my good intentions of riding on an Ibiza holiday always got overtaken by a night in Amnesia or Space!

So… (not that anybody cares!) I’ve decided that I’m gonna bring the gravel bike out initially and a decent set of road tyres.
I’ve seen loads of road bikes and all the mountain bikes I’ve seen has been cross country stuff which really isn’t my cup of tea, the gravel bike can do a lot of that riding and make it more fun by being harder to ride!

I’ll have an expore on that and if there looks like some decent trails around then I’ll bring my enduro bike out.

Truth be told my boat would be the preferred toy to bring our but that’s a bit expensive to do when I’m not sure I’ll stay any longer than this summer!
