Bit of a rant but has anyone else noticed that it’s gone up to £15?

I swear it used to be about £8. Cue old man shakes fist at clouds meme but BPW getting absurdly overpriced. Natural trails it is.

True. Maybe I need to start building jumps and trails on bits of waste ground like we did when we were kids. Cheaper.

I've stopped going.

In part due to staying over costs but adding in fuel, accommodation and increased bpw its no longer appetising.

It was over subscribed anyway so they'll feel no pain and it's a good venue.

Just means they are skimming more off the top layer of those looking to visit.

Have you seen the price of timber biggrin

Street is always free and now and then you get a chase from security.

I agree. It’s stopped feeling like a bike park and more a method to extract every penny from visitors. Clearly it doesn’t bother most people but pedalling up on a conventional bike I doubt I’d get more than a couple of runs in. £15 is very poor value.

I’m a bit more concrete-averse now than when I was 15 laugh

15 quid just to ride there, without using the uplift? Blimey, we usually go to Afan once a year and yes I know you can’t really compare the two but camping is cheap so usually works out to be pretty good.
Isn’t the uplift 40 quid or something?
But think about it, that is a whole day’s entertainment, you could get quite a few runs in during the day. I always try to compare what it would cost to go and see a football match, cinema, bowling etc which is expensive but doesn’t last all day.

We normally go 3-4 times a year and I don't think it's expensive for a full days entertainment, can take lunch to save a tenner and share the fuel costs with a few guys.

Wouldn't pay £15 to pedal up though, that's mental!

It's no longer a full days riding though.

5 hours isn't it with driver lunch hour within that? Or do they stagger driver lunch breaks now?

They have split the days, do you honestly ride for a full day?

Weekend between April 16th & September 4th (4.5 hour session AM or PM) = £37 (includes a pedal pass for the full day 09:00-19:00)

I think its a good idea. Half a day costs less than a day did and Ill still get plenty of riding in 4.5 hrs. I think I usually make the most of it and probably do more than that in a full day but I am fecked by the end of the day and starting to get sluggish, I wouldn't be attempting any decent sized jumps at that point

Re. Building nearer home - yeah, get involved a biking group that digs. You'll be amazed what 15 blokes with a few tools can do in 2-3 hours.

A full day used to be less and you could be flexible when you turned up. Plus take a break(s) whenever you needed it.

Now it works out to be alot of money compared to what it used to be.

Again I'll say great for them. A great business model. People with money won't be fussed.

£10 per hour not to pedal, doesn't sound like a lot to me, sounds like a bargain to my fat @rse! Haha
