Hello we now have 4 EBikes in the family and wanted to ask about recommended insurance companies for proper cover when out and about looking at my house insurance they will only cover them when in the locked garage at home ,

I used cycleplan they seem to offer a fairly comprehensive policy so long as you meet the T&C's, can also have liability cover too

Expensive though, requirement for mine to be anchored with a specific lock. I can insure a car for the same amount as my Levo.

I use Bikmo for my Vado, but otherwise agree with you - you can insure a car for a similar premium!

My LV home insurance covers my EMTB whilst out and about - as long as it is locked up.

Cost was an extra £17 per year, which was not too bad.....

I recently insured through barclays as it covers all your bikes at the highest valued. £87 for 3 bikes at £3k.

Just changed House insurance to Admiral as they cover bikes up to £5k, need to list each bike to be covered.

Yeah my Home policy doesn't cover over £1500 unless listed individually. I did so for our 3 and covered away from the home; i think it added £25 to the price over the year, although i've never had any previous claims.
