24 x 1 or 25-540 tyres for son's racer
Discussion
I need some new tyres for my son's racer. They are marked as 24 x 1 or 25-540.
The only ones I can find in this size are all sold as wheelchair tyres - e.g. Schwalbe Right Run 24 x 1. e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232901603839 - They look OK and are reasonably priced for a pair plus tubes on the eBay. Not clear that they are suitable for a bike and my google fu is letting me down.
What do the good folks of PH reckon? - are these the choice for a childs racing bike (8yo) or am I missing the obvious search terms for 24x1 tyres as I can only find fatter ones for hybrids / mountain bikes etc ? .......

Most Brompton tyres should fit. They're 24".
ETA slightly wider isn't a problem assuming they fit the frame / fork.
Wheel chair tyres will be heavier than bike tyres - bigger impact on a kids bike that fractional rolling resistance differences.

My lad has Kenda Koncept 24x1 on his Wiggins 540.
He had a 20” wheel Giant ARX before which I put some Schwalbe Kojak’s on but they don’t seem to be available in 24”, they were a bit wider than the Kenda so I thought they’d be a bit better for him.

Brompton tyres will be too small - they're only 16"
There are a few bike-specific options if you have a look round, eg, https://www.tredz.co.uk/kids-and-junior-tyres-24-t... or https://www.biketyred.com/road?0=18572

You're right... Apologies OP. There are a few bike-specific options if you have a look round, eg, https://www.tredz.co.uk/kids-and-junior-tyres-24-t... or https://www.biketyred.com/road?0=18572
I googled 24" tyres as I never had any problems getting them for my lads Isla bike. First hit was Brompton bikes. That'll teach me to Google at work.
I had a pair of these for road use on my lads bike...
