Has anyone got experience with either Sea Sucker or Tree Frog products and care to share their thoughts?

I currently have a Thule set up but changing cars means that I need a new foot pack and this will only fit 1 of the cars.

I have a SeaSucker Mini Bomber and think it’s great. I can’t see why I’d ever buy anything else quite frankly.

The only downside is that you can’t leave the car unattended whilst the bikes are attached to the rack as there’s no locking mechanism included as standard. You can buy a cable anchor thingy though.

+1 for the SeaSucker.

I used a Talon all the way to the Pyrenees & back.
Rock solid even at speeds up to 100.

I made my own ‘dog-lead-bike-lock’ by passing a heavy duty webbing dog lead around the bike, then clipping the end onto the seat belt and shutting the door.
This worked well for lunch stops & fuel stations.

They work brilliantly - never had one come even close to unstuck in thousands of miles driving.

My only issue with them is finding hard points in the roof to attach to - on my previous Mini and my current Cayman - the roof panel is curved and quite flexible where it's not got structure underneath - the rack can cause the roof to flex make a horrible noise and cause potential damage.

You have to attach them at the front - across the b pillars or towards the back and the axle spacing of the bike doesn't always work for this - just takes some trial and error.

On the F10 5 series I used to put 2 suckers on the glass.
Always felt more comfortable bring able to see them!

I've a seasucker talon and although it takes a little trust at first, it really is excellent, I should have bought one years ago!
Only bike rack I've found that fits the Elise! laugh

I have a Seasucker mini bomber, tested at 120mph on the autobahn with two bikes on the roof of my NSX... sea suckers are expensive, the tree frog I think is a copy - a friend had one and it looked pretty similar but not sure if the materials for the suction cup are the same. probably not worth the risk when the cups are all that is holding the bike on the roof and any leakage is total failure of that cup! with 4 suction cups there is some 'redundancy' but it still took some time to fully trust them...

I've got a sea sucker Mini bomber and use it with my 26kg EBike no issues at all.
Done 120mph on the "autobahn" and sustained 110mph for a while without issues.

Thanks for the replies and info, mine would be for my M4 CP, carbon roof without any fix points.

Hi Seasuckers!! Any 987 Cayman owners out there with these?

I was about to pull the trigger but would be looking to spec the 2 bike mini bomber, but adding the separate front wheel forks for both bikes, does anyone have any idea if this will fit??

Bikes are gravellers so not too wide, if that matters.
