I'm thinking of changing my ageing Honda Jazz in the new year. This has been a really good car for slinging the bike in the back(front wheel off) as the seats fold completely flat so loads of room for a small car.
Wouldn't mind something a touch bigger, but want a nice load bay with the seats folded down. I quite fancy a Yeti, but not sure if I will gain much space over the Jazz, or maybe a Civic.
Anyone got any experience of Yeti's as a bike car? I'm sure the Civic would be good as it's just a bigger Jazz.
Any other alternatives I haven't thought of? Budget up to around £6k, but want something cheap to run as hoping to get something more interesting as well next year!

Yeti's make great carrying vehicles. You can remove the seats completely to make a large space. With the front wheel removed, and middle seat removed, I can get my bike inside and still carry the kids. With both wheels off, the bike fits in the boot (just).

Basically any hatchback larger than a supermini city car.

I used to get my roadbike in my corsa b no problem, and that car was tiny.

Can you fit a bike in the back with the rear seats folded down, and the front wheel off okay? In the Jazz, I get a completely flat load space with the seats folded down.

I'd imagine it would fit in relatively easily; I tend to put my bike in upright and it can just fit with both wheels on, with front wheel turned sightly, so lying down would be even easier.

I have a Honda Civic as my daily driver and my Gravel or Road bikes fit in the back without removing either wheel.

Pretty much anything "practical" with a fold down rear seat will take a bike so really, the options are pretty endless and that's before you consider roof carrying options or vans. A mate runs around in an ancient Saxo VTR with his bike in the back so most things are possible.
