Yes
Ive been using suff all year - Zwift isnt for me. I prefer the videos, plus the sarcastic comments that crop up
Its whatever you want it to be, can get a good workout in, plenty of focussed training plans available if you want them to improve aerobic ability, ftp, whatever that stretch over a period of time
New Pro Rides feature is cool, good workouts at your FTP (times vary, UAE is 1 hr, others like Italia are 2hrs)
4DP profile is useful, points out where you need to improve rather than just giving you an FTP
The Sufferfest workouts are excellent, so plenty of MAP based workouts (to stress aerobic ability) or you can focus on building FTP, climbing ability etc
Some absolute sickeners available - 9 Hammers for example. If you've got your 4DP set properly these are absolute killers and you'll be at breaking point by the end of the workout. If youre not then you need to redo the 4DP
Well worth the £10 or so a month
Its basically an enhanced version of the sufferfest, it still very much is the sufferfest.

Been using the old Sufferfest since buying the videos!
The application overall is great. As it has just been launched they are working through the bug list.
So sometimes the Strength videos don't get recorded, or I've seen some of the Yoga videos play through a couple of times.
I would recommend it, like a previous post, Zwift isn't for me. I like the attitude that comes from SUF.

Do they have/can you set up training plans that are more customisable than the ones on Zwift?
I now generally get to ride 2 evenings a week, and one longer weekend ride on either Sat or Sun, depending on life. I was doing 3 rides in the week, but have just started back to karate one night a week (cycling has strengthened my knee enough ). I'm also a Scout Leader, so that's another night per week out... and my family would like to see me occasionally!
None of the training plans (that I've found, anyway) on Zwift can fit into that schedule so I'm in the garage just riding or using random workouts at the moment. TBH, my motivation is quite low at the moment, but the discipline/routine of knowing I will ride those days keeps me going.
I'd rather have something with an overall aim to work through over winter, albeit I realise that with 3 rides/week it's going to be slow progress at best... but then I've got until April/May before I'll be back outdoors much
Would Systm be the answer?

Is a bit 'infomercial' but may answer some questions on whether it's for you.

I tested half a dozen platforms and ended up with Sufferfest (now Wahoo Systm) for training and RGT Cycling for virtual rides/races (Zwift is too gamified/social for my preferences).
In Suff, 4DP really is excellent, as described above you can really focus on the type of workout you need, with a bit of daft encouragement on-screen. Some sessions are balls-out excruciating and others are recovery rides with great documentaries of truly epic transcontinental rides, plus all types of sessions in between. Strade Bianche is a great pro ride, as is Cobbler. And yeah, 9 Hammers - good luck with that one
Re customisation, I recently did a training programme, which didn't fit my preferred days exactly, but just transposed what I needed to do to suit my timings. Give it a go on a free trial.

Another long time Sufferfest user here - I started back in the day when you purchased individual videos and ran them through TrainerRoad.
Lots of new workouts arrived with the re-brand to Systm. I'm still working through them but I've been enjoying the sessions filmed with Mike Cotty of the Coll Collective. I started the yoga sessions when the first lockdown landed and I moved to WFH. I quite enjoy them now, with Friday being my day off the bike. The advanced level core strength sessions are hard work but I think they've really helped my endurance on the bike.
The workout called Cobbler is superb IMO. So well put together and a quality soundtrack.
Couple of features are still missing from the Sufferfest app like searching workout history but hopefully they will be along soon.

It’s an absolute pile of st. And I say that as a long-time user of Sufferfest (from the original downloaded videos through to the app, the latter of which was brilliant) and Wahoo computers.
It’s slow, buggy, clunky, glitch, and so far up its own arse it’s regurgitating itself (some of the non-SF videos are amazingly wky). I genuinely hate using it and only stick with it for the Sufferfest videos within (which are as good as ever). Assuming they download onto the app. Or the stream doesn’t drop out. Or the sensors disconnect. All of which happens every time I use it. And None of which was a problem pre-Wahoo takeover.
