I want to get a replacement front thru axle for my Road bike (Enigma Etape) and I am totally baffled by all the different sizes. The current axle is marked 12.0 106.0L M12 (P1.5) 14.0L. I can’t find anything that matches. Would size 12mm 100/125/17/M12*P1.5 fit?

It’ll be 12x100 on the front and 12x142 on the back. The P1.5 is the pitch which is standard for 12mm through axles.

It's not that simple unfortunately:

There are several different pitches. Also the distance between the dropouts is 100mm but the width of the dropouts varies and determines the overall length of the thru axle and the length of the threaded section.

So breaking down the numbers :
12 is the diameter and M12 P1.5 is the thread pitch - happy with these as I can find replacements that match.
Is the 106L and the 14L the unthreaded and threaded length respectively i.e. a total length of 120?
Therefore will an axle with a total length of 125 and a threaded length of 17 be a suitable replacement?

The 106 sounds short, that would mean the fork is only 6mm wide. If the interface with the fork is simple i.e. the thru axle just bolts down onto a flat surface, then you should be able to just measure the length of the threaded section and the overall length.
