29th May, Heading east, no route published yet, but also at the moment no ballot, straight entry!

Full refund if event cancelled (unlike ride brim)

Thanks and entered. I live in Essex so if start was in Strateford than even better as it’s on our rail line.

Looks like the first 10,000 places have all gone so it's back to the ballot system for the remainder.

I would put my hat in the ring but it's the weekend after I'm doing the LeBlanq ride on the Isle of Wight and I think my wife will divorce/kill me if I were to disappear for another weekend of cycling the following week.

Thanks again OP. Per above it’s already sold out on initial allocation so onto the ballot (which I was never successful with before)

Already got myself a flexible booking at Premier Inn Stratford on premise it will probably start from Olympic Park as usual.

I find it hard to believe that people will pay £90 to ride their bike?!

People pay £50 to go for a 26 mile run, so this is better value per mile wink

I did the original route the first two years and loved the experience. The closed roads and the crowds of people cheering you on was magical.

SInce then I have done the Fred and that has really put me off paying for events. The Fred was so good (helped by glorious weather!) I really can't see what you get for your money. Did a South Downs event a month ago, local to me, and it was fine, and only 30 quid, but I'd rather have the 30 quid for other things. Plus, you get the arrogant pro wannabes trying to set pbs flying past you which isn't much better than the close passing morons in their little hatchbacks.

will be battle of the pacelines, i can’t really see anywhere they could break it up so will end in a sprint somewhere. i’ve got arlen in a sprint so i’ll just chalk down the win and 0 BC points now,
