Strava & android mobile - can you plot and then follow a rou

My son wants to ride back from his jab tomorrow, cross country to avoid roads as much as possible. I do it all the time, but I plot on a desktop PC and then follow the route on a proper bike computer.
He'll have to use his phone to follow the route, I can't even see how you do that on my phone!

Have you looked at Komoot? It's great for planning and following routes. Gives turn by turn directions as well.

I only use the free version and it's great.

Maps, routes, scroll down and draw your own route. Don't know if it is subscriber only but seems pretty limited.

You can also plot a route on your PC and follow that in the app.

you need to subscribe to do this with Strava.

Komoot lets you designate one of their regions as a "free" region and then buying further areas costs. You can plan your route on the PC or app (but it's easier on the PC) then follow your route if it's inside your free area. as an estimate this is my free area:

Thanks all.

In the end, I plotted the route on my phone, then I spotted how I could use it on my phone. I sent it to him, talked him through it, and he has made it home, so everything has worked out!
