Can you clock and e bike?

Guys n Girls,

I'm planning to look at a used giant e bike later and whilst the pictures aren't great, I have a sneaking suspicion that it might have done more than the 368 miles that the seller claims. One of the pictures is of the computer / odometer which states 368 but I wondered if it is possible to clock these bikes, to make them appear to have done less miles than they actually have?

I would say your right to keep your wits about you.....

If they can clock & freeze mileage on the latest Mercs, Bentleys etc in back street garages, I'm sure its only a simple bit of tech they use to re-program these.....

I had a quick google, and it seems the full lifetime meter is only a service diagnostic setting, so anything on the display might just be a resettable odometer anyway?

It's only a couple of dozen hours riding, so it should look pretty mint condition.

Thanks guys, I think I'll swerve it, could do without battery issues and according to youtube they're not that reliable.
