...as you try and power away from the other cyclists so they can't see the badge

As a comparison my LBS built me a BMC teammachine which is arguably at least as good if not a better frame with integrated cables and the same wheels and groupset for £8000

So it’s basically a £10,000 paintjob…..

I thought about it, but my favoured supplier could only get a 58cm frame, and no one else could even get one. That’s a push, so no. It was quite nice though, full Campag SR EPS hydraulic brake and all, but 58 is too big by a margin. 7 grand’s worth of bragging rights is probably a bit extravagant.

This is what the paint job is based on though.

It’s very expensive but I wouldn’t say it was ugly.

Well bloody hell I'm blind. It does have EPS. It was the st cable routing that threw me.

Bought it november 2019 - Campag were doing an Autumn deal and discounting £2000 off the wheels and groupset. Was a bargain in the wierd world of a bike costing £8000 instead of £10,000

Or this one…

The R5 is a lovely bike and it is specced up, but a Lamborghini badge and a different paint job doesn’t add much in my opinion.

I don’t see how they can ask this amount of money when there are very special bikes at the 10k price range… and even that is pretty nuts!
