My neighbours have two sets of Thule roofbars I could borrow /keep.forever. Either 125 or 135. According to roofbox I need 127!!!

It is fitting on a BMW X3 with flush roof rails. So I know I need the adapter kit and feet. Is it workable with either of the above?

Or should I just buy Halfords cheapos or Cruz ones , which with the fitting kits are pretty competitive.

Any help

If they're just sat in your neighbours shed you might as well buy the feet and see if they fit, I suspect the 135s will fit with a bit of over-hang each side, I ran a set of bars one size too big for years, it wasn't a problem. Obviously it will depend on the type of bar you use.

I've got a set of Cruz bars now... they're okay, no better or worse really, although they've worn the paint under them, which I'm told they all do, Thule included if you don't have rails. Anyway, the Cruz bars, cheap, functional, look a bit crap.

It might be worth looking at the Halfords Exodus range, they used to be rebranded old-model Thule bars made under license in the same factory in Poland and were at least at the time, pretty interchangeable with Thule bars.

If they're standard Thule aero bars then the 135s can probably be trimmed down with a hacksaw.

Or just run them a little wide. Shouldn't be a huge issue I don't think. If they're free and you can get a foot kit, then it's worth a try.
