Anybody got any experience with these?

Struggling to find reviews online & it’s the only bike my LBS can actually supply.

The Vitus Sentier, Whyte 905 etc I really want are rarer than hens teeth at the moment frown

Got mine 6 weeks ago , very happy with it, very grippy and manouverable on the slippy stuff, dropper post and rockshock fork great for the money , bad bits , crappy SX rear derailleur (soon to be replaced by me along with the shifter) and the pedals are naff (easily sorted) let me know if you have any other questions

Mate who is newish to MTB has one (last years model) and likes it.

Generally solid, as said above the SX derailleur is probably the weak point of the spec. Seems to need adjusting a lot more often than my GX or Shimano ones.

Not a lightweight but its competitors in the same price range aren't either and IMO bike weight isn't that big a deal for recreational riding. Rides nicely, the plus size tyres give good traction and smooth out a bit of chatter.

The geometry isn't 'progressive' long and slack like some of its competitors, its more traditional geo. That could be a plus or minus depending what you want and what you're used to - easier to adjust to for someone who is accustomed to older style bikes, but not quite as capable on steeper faster stuff.

Cheers guys
My current bike is a 2001 Cannondale Scalpel, owned from new!

Not convinced the Roscoe is going to excite me from the very limited reviews I can find - why so few I wonder?

Sounds like the 8 would be a better bet but typically, they only have 6 & 7’s rolleyes

I have one but 2 herniated disks have put a stop to cycling for a bit.Overall it’s a decent bike but the SX is a bag of st that needs constant fettling.Get rid of it at your soonest convenience.

Tried to by my fiancé on a couple of weeks ago, all the shop could offer was October 22. Did say he thought it would be sooner, but wouldn't commit to anything beyond Oct 22.

The geometry is quite old school so bear that in mind.

If you want a fast, rowdy, hardtail there are better options geo-wise.

My mate has one. It's nit a bad bike, but it's limited on steeper, more techy, trails.

The whytes are more progressive in their geo.
