Nucleus VR / VRS - Sizing? Other option?

Vitus claim to be expecting stock of the Nucleus this week.

I'm looking for an entry level hardtail and with the absence of the Bizango this seems like the best option. Basically for riding round parks / trails thats about it really with the kids. (But looking like a cool middle aged dad)

Main difference between the VR & VRS seems to be limited to drive train, colour and a couple of other bits.

So should I stump up the extra for the VRS? Intention would be to put it through the works cycle scheme anyway so the difference per month is about £6


And then sizing.... i'm 5ft 10 and the sizing charts show a medium for 5ft6 - 5ft 10 and the Large for 5 10+

Any advice on which works best at my height?!

I can't speak to the spec of the bike, there will be other people on here who will be able to help better than me.

If you're on the edge of two bike sizes, it's tricky to choose. However, if you do end up getting it a little bit wrong, there's an old adage:

- You can quite easily make a small bike a bit bigger, but it's hard to make a big bike a bit smaller.

Extra-long seat posts and longer / angled handlebar stems are cheap and plentiful. There aren't easier ways to go the other way.
