I’ve often seen it mentioned that you can get the British Cycling card to get discount at Halfords. With the current situation, I was thinking of getting a card and a code today, as there’s a bike in stock I want.

Does anyone know how quick you get access to the code?

For anyone who’s wondering... it’s instant.

Just saved myself £110.

Just go to the ‘your dashboard’ bit on the B.C. website, search for “Halfords discount” get the barcode screen up, job jobbed. It’s scanned when you check out, or enter the code on the Halfords website.

Yep!

Just used it to get a Boardman ADV 8.9. Let’s hope it’s as good as I think it’ll be, while I wait for my new MTB.

Frame protector stickers. Before you even think about riding it.

Hose routing on mine was a bomb scare and when I pointed it out was told they didn’t have the tools to chop and change hoses. After less than 200km (all on roads, no gravel/mud to aggravate things), the hoses had rubbed their way through the paint on the forks big time.

Kinda suspect the satin finish with no real clear coat isn’t as hard wearing as a gloss finish.

They ride great though, nearly 1000km on mine the last couple of months.

Good shout. I have some heli-tape here anyway, so will cover the most important areas before I ride it.

I would hope they’ll do the cables though!
