Accidentally recorded a ride with a jan 1st 2009 date on it. Any ideas on the easiest way to correct it for today?

Just open the event and edit, although i might be wrong, other wise delete and upload again maybe. however don't hold me to that one incase you lose it

How was it uploaded?

Could download original file and grab the FIT and stick it into fitfiletools.com to adjust time.

Recorded on my polar headunit. I accidentally did a factory reboot on it just before the ride and it lost the date and time settings without me realising. Will try that link cheers.

Try this site... https://gotoes.org/strava/Add_Timestamps_To_GPX.ph... ...I've used it a few times when my Garmin ditched or corrupted data.

What I've done is create a GPX file on Strava Routes then add time stamps to upload a GPS trace on Strava just to "keep the record straight". I've also thought about doing it for old activities in my (overly detailed) cycling diary, stuff I rode before Garmin/Strava. Create the ride on Strava Routes, add the time stamps, and thereby claim some extra VeloViewer tiles that predate my Strava subscription. The main reason I've not bothered is the time it'd take really.

Looks like the original file is in .tcx format so need to either edit that or convert it to .fit

Wouldn’t be bothered too much but I smashed some pr’s on some climb segments

ETA: sorted- downloaded the TCX and did a find and replace in notepad. Strava happy with the modified file.
