Perished Tyres?

Got these at the end of last month and have run them for ~400km. Spotted what appears to be the sidewalls perishing and the edge of the tread coming away today.

Obviously I’m not happy, but are they actually goosed or is it just aesthetic?



Don’t fancy a tyre delaminating or blowing out on me to be honest!

My year old schwalbe's look a hell of a lot worse than that and they are fine. I've got a new pair of good years ready to go on but am still riding on them for now.

Pop back to your local bike that sold them, I'm sure they'll have have a look and possibly submit for a warranty claim for you...

Not sure if it was coincidence our not, but when my Continentals started going like that I started getting more punctures. Admittedly mine looked worse but I just replaced them.
