Garmin and Wahoo are the normal go-to brands for bike computers. I've got a Wahoo ELEMNT which has been great. Super easy to set up and use and 100% reliable in terms of accurately recording and uploading rides. Navigation also works really well. It won't re-route if you go the wrong way but I think the replacement version, the ROAM does.

Battery stopped holding charge on mine just as it was getting to the end of its two year warranty and Wahoo replaced it with a new unit without any quibbles.

I've got a Garmin watch and the user interface and app are a confusing mess compared to the Wahoo so I wouldn't rush to recommend a Garmin product over Wahoo.

The Hammerhead Karoo is the new kid on the block and supposed to be very good. Jonny on here has got one and seems very happy with it so might be worth a look.

I've got the same. 4/5 years old with no battery issues. Very easy to use

The ROAM is a bit bigger and has colour screen as well as some improvements to on the fly rerouting. Would probably get that over bolt I'd buying now - am a sucker for accidentally adding bridleways.

Am getting lots of ads from Karoo - it looks impressive and was well reviewed by Dcrainmaker. Bigger again though. Question whether I'd like to be as well connected as it sounds. Bolt gives me calls and texts, its quite nice telling people I'll only be contactable that way during X hours, puts them off.
