Cycle Sat Nav - recommendations?
Discussion
My son has started coming out cycling with me and and I'd like to do a bit of route planning before we go out and follow the pre-planned route.
Ideally i'd like to plan a route on my Windows PC and then utilise it on my iPhone.
Are there any apps that will let me do this? If so which one is best?
Cheers

Cheers, I'll have a look at both over the weekend.
I've only ever used Strava and tend to head out and get lost in the countryside. Not an issue for me, but getting lost 30 miles into a ride, 20 miles from home may upset my 12 year old, so quite keen to build up the distances over the summer.

I use RideWithGPS to plan routes, but then follow them on my Garmin.

i use kamoot as its the only one (ive found) that let you plan online without paying naything
Just been on Komoot and it looks to be exactly what I’m after, 3,200 suggested routes in our local area. We’re out for a big walk today but will hopefully get to use it next weekend. Thank you. Gbmapometer for me. Make route, put on Garmin, ride it.

Unsure if they have an ios app.

Haven't come across that one, thanks! Will check it out, I find issues with almost every mapping site. I like the OS site because it makes bridleways and footpaths really clear, but it is a pain in the arse to use it on a phone when you are out and about. I often resort to Strava heatmaps which will tell you where people have been, but not always if they were within their rights to be there.https://gb.mapometer.com/
