I've been really impressed with it. Watched a couple of Mark Beaumont videos and have spotted a few other shows on there that look interesting.
The race coverage is brilliant though. I watched Paris Nice live yesterday afternoon and then as soon as that I had finished, I could watch the 'live' Tirreno coverage on demand so watched the intro then fast-forwarded to the last hour or so of the race. Short and extended highlights packages every day so it's easy to keep tabs on the stage races without having to invest too much time if you don't have it.
And best of all, there's now an Amazon Fire app so I can watch it on the tv through the Firestick without having throw from another device. Considering it was £20 for a year's subscription, I think it's a bargain.

I've found the chromecasting experience to be pretty flaky and the Android app needs work too.
No matter if I'm casting from laptop or from Android it will randomly stop casting and just display eurosport splash screen. I've got an old fire tv stick but reluctant to use that as the UI is pretty slow.

The documentaries, some of them at least, are part-funded by the Discovery network. What they're calling GCN+ is effectively the same GCN Race Pass as last year, but with the added bonus of the high-quality documentaries.
The race coverage alone, I felt was decent value last year at £40, so the offer they did in February where it was £20 was great value. I stream it to my TV via a laptop and HDMI cable, it's great when working from home. Long stage race running in the background, getting work done while keeping an eye on the action at Paris-Nice, or watching Strada Bianchi on catchup.

Yes and it's reminded me how much I dislike Carlton Kirby's commentary. In races containing some genuine superstars he always seems to want to be the star of the show.
Although it's a tough call between him and Rob Hatch in the irritation stakes. Hatch's exaggerated pronunciations are really starting to grate on me. I'm pretty sure he's just invented an entirely new name for Steven Kruijswijk. lauda said:

Agreed. It's like he's trying to tell us how great he is at languages. Been using it all winter for CX and now although I have a Eurosport sub on sky using it for races, quality isn't quite as good but I've noticed it has got a bit better since the road races have started. As above Kirby is terrible, but good to see them bringing through people like Dan Lloyd and Adam Blythe, the races without Kirby are so much more enjoyable.

Oh yes indeed, you are so right on this. According to Linkedin "speaks four languages at native level" I think one of them is Hatchese.Paul Drawmer said:

Magnus Backstedt amusingly said the other day of her wondering whether it was x or y in pronunciation stakes "it doesn't matter too much I guess" - basically sick of her boring on about stuff that didn't matter when they were meant to be calling a race.

There's now a native GCN+ app that works on Android TVs (or a Google TV streamer). It's much easier to use than pissing about with casting, I hate that for regular use...
The only issue I have with this compared to broadcast Eurosport (on Virgin cable) is that the GCN+ streams are slightly lower quality, so you get a bit of jerkiness in the picture.
I've spent a fair amount of March battering away on the turbo as its not daylight for long enough after work for a decent ride and I'm doing a charity fundraiser so need to get the distance in. There's nothing quite as humbling as watching Beaumont doing round the world in 80 days whilst you're just done thinking you were billy big baws completing a 100km run the day before
Documentaries on it are good, nice to have more racing coverage available for when the mood takes me. Lot of the other stuff I can't really be bothered with, but thats more generic GCN than the plus part.

Hatch really does over egg it. I’m sure when he mentioned Ben Swift the other day he used a Yorkshire accent when he pronounced his name.
He must be the bloke who kept saying Filippo Ganna in the most exaggerated way in a race I was watching the other day.Fee-leepo Gaaan-aaah.
God yes, 'Fee-leepo' was driving me mad. Funnily enough find the gcn guys (I think - not a big follower of the YouTube) better than the pro commentator's. Also liked Adam Blythe and his trendy Off White gear
Sure this is silly, but anybody know the difference between coverage on GCN app and Eurosport app ? I have the latter .
