Probably been done to death before, but I’m struggling to work out the best way to store 2 bikes out of the way in my single garage. Long term the bar will be moving to my shed and a secondary shed will be built for the lawnmower and a bbq.

The wall to the left just before the consumer unit I was planning to have a workbench with foldable legs stored on the wall, not sure on the length of it mind you. Something like this:

The turbo trainer will probably always be set up in the back left corner with 1 of the bikes on it, the MTB will only be used every now and again and the gravel bike will probably be used daily. I was thinking about stacking the MTB and gravel on the wall to the left one above the other, but not sure if the garage door will prevent that?

Am I missing another sensible option?

Cheers.

You could put both bikes there, but hang them vertically...?

This.

I have 3 bikes stored vertically in a chimney breast alcove of 110".

I had thought of that but felt the bikes would protrude quite a bit further than if they were mounted on the wall by a pedal or the frame. I'll need to go do some tests I guess.

Cheers.

It will again soon... I've got 3 * 19l kegs in there that I fill with home brewed beer/cider. Haven't brewed in a good 3 years or so but getting back to it in the coming weeks.

Hang one bike on a wall hanger, with other bike underneath on wall or just on the floor. Side hinged doors obviously give more height.

Went for a pedal bracket. Got lucky and was able to catch the stud with the pedal bracket and 1 of the wheel rests.
