The "Photos From Today's Ride" thread. (Vol. 2)
Discussion
Oh, to be in on the first page of one of the best threads on the whole Internet! These are from today, just a ride to work...I get a couple of these every year, it's so cold but the sunrise is special. I feel sorry for the saddos that don't get it.

where is that
Maybe the saddos think we are saddos all clad up in lycra
It's Knepp Castle, just off the A24. Used to be a normal type farm, but the owners are "rewilding" it. No crops, just animals, deer, cattle sheep mainly, but some pigs, the storks and they hope beavers soon. It's a lovely place for a walk, definitely typical English countryside but a bit...Africa, almost. Maybe the saddos think we are saddos all clad up in lycra

Was it a tunnelweb?
Keep that up and there’ll be no need to take your coat off...
Whilst the area that I ride is well-known for Sydney Funnel-Webs, the cause of most shrieking on this ride is the Orb Weaving Spider which, each evening, puts up a chuffing great web across trails, paths and other spaces between hedges, trees and buildings. Being the first through the trail on a morning will pretty much guarantee several web-face moments, and the web is spectacularly sticky.
You then need to check every so often that an Orb Weaver hasn’t hopped on for the ride...
Orb Weavers aren’t dangerous - otherwise I wouldn’t be there either!
On the other hand, falling off and landing near a Funnel Web or Wolf spider...
Handy chart here for those that are contemplating wandering or riding these parts...
