Turbo trainer with through axles

I’ve been given a turbo trainer but my bike has a 142x12 through axle, the turbo trainer is for QR skewers so I can’t work out a way it’ll work.

Am I being stupid? Is it possible somehow?

Very possible - lots of replacment axles on the market designed for exactly this.

Depends on the turbo. Direct drive and all smart turbos will be need the converter specific to that turbo. The converter kit for my TACX Neo is very good, for instance, but I doubt would fit anything else.
