I’ve been given this
Which on face value looks like a bit of a wreck but upon closer inspection has some lovely old school lugs
Which are Nervex Professional
And very commonly used in the 50s, 60s and early 70s. It has a frame number “7047” but no other identifying marks, the blue obviously being not original but it looks like it was sanded down before that was applied. The drop outs are fairly distinctive but I haven’t identified them yet
It has an SR Apex chain set which could be original,
a Huret front derailleur which is also probably original but a shimano skylark rear derailleur and 600 series shifters which were definitely not original.
Brakes are Weismann, the front is a nice centre pull the rear is a Weinmann 500 series.
Front wheel is a Rigida Chromelux with the diamond braking surface, rear is a Rigida Super chromax.
I’ll get some measurements later but it looks like a 68mm bottom bracket shell and the wheels are 27”
If anyone is bored in lockdown and fancies some detective work, any leads would be appreciated
