Stupid question? Frog bike for 6 y/o
Discussion
My daughter currently has an Islabike CNOC 16. We pulled it out of the garage today and it’s fair to say it looks like a clown bike now. She had a blinder of a summer last year on it - regularly riding 30km and topping out at 50km - all with a single speed
I’ve been Googling for an upgrade. She’s 120cm and the closest we could get to an inside leg measurement was 52cm. (She was NOT impressed with the advised ‘book’ measuring!)
Looking at Isla again, it’d be a Beinn 20L. A nightmare to find so I started looking at Frogs. Logically, she’d be a 52. However reading around I think she’d outgrow it again quickly, there seems to be a lot of people saying the 52’s good for 5-6. Ideally I’d like to try her on a decent ride of a 55, but at the moment that’s not going to happen, so I have to go with guesswork. Can anyone give me a more educated guess?

Our daughter is nearly 7, 125cm, longer than average legs and comfy on a frog 52. Can’t fault it really, excellent bike. There’s enough growing space for at least two years.
Cheers, I found a Frog 52 locally on eBay and picked it up this afternoon. On arrival it turned out to be a 55. She’s been down the road on it and it appears fine. Job jobbed!Gassing Station | Pedal Powered | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
